Residents of the District are being reminded that Thursday 31 August is the final opportunity to have their say on the future of the Sevenoaks Playhouse building.
The consultation has already proved to be one of the biggest ever undertaken by the Council. By the end of Tuesday (29 August) over 2,100 people have visited the foyer of the Playhouse building, whilst another 566 people have completed the online questionnaire available on the Council’s website, www.sevenoaks.gov.uk/playhouse.
With the final day approaching anyone who has not taken part in the consultation is being urged to do so.
Cllr Felicity Broomby, the Council’s Cabinet member with responsibility for the arts, says: "The response from the public since we opened the foyer of the Playhouse building on 2 August for the start of the consultation really has been fantastic. This Thursday will be the last chance for people to have their say on the future of the Playhouse building and the provision of arts in the town. So if you have not yet had your say then either fill in an online form, or get to the Playhouse today!"
Sevenoaks District Council began a month long consultation in the foyer of the Playhouse building on 2 August, after being handed back possession of the cinema and theatre complex on Friday 28 July.
The last days of the consultation are on Wednesday 30 and Thursday 31 August, running from 10am to 4pm.
