On Thursday 29 June Kate Barker will be giving her first public speech since the start of her commission on the link between planning and economic growth, ‘The Barker Review of land-use planning’.
Baroness Andrews, DCLG's Minister for Housing and Planning in the House of Lords, will also be addressing the convention as well as launching the RTPI’s Planners in the Workplace Programme. Her speech will cover a range of issues from planning policy to climate change and is likely to include policy announcements.
Other topics range from international development and tackling climate change (planning in one world) to how we deliver the Olympics. Speakers include key figures behind the Sydney and London 2012 Olympic Games.
