Just released - Kypera Housing 2.5
Kypera has launched version 2.5 of Kypera Housing in response to the sector’s requirement for a dynamic, intuitive and flexible housing management system at an affordable price. It assists housing professionals by making complicated tasks like managing arrears and raising repairs straightforward, accurate and fast. Kypera’s lead developer on the housing solution, Tony Dunn, commented: “In terms of new functionality, this is the biggest single step that Kypera Housing has taken to date”.
Time savings
The system’s wizard-based workflow and powerful database structure ensure watertight operations where nothing gets missed. The new ‘Home Screen’ allows users to save common searches for one-click repetition which saves time. This coupled with configuration of the system’s views and workflow on a per-user basis, allows each user to see immediately where to focus their attention without wading through many screens or searches.
Mobile working
Version 2.5 contains the latest mobile working technology in the Repairs Module. This addition removes the requirement for potentially costly, third-party mobile solutions. Details of scheduled inspections are displayed on the user’s smart phone in real time, and completed inspections are logged and updated onto the system directly from the mobile device. Kypera’s mobile web-based approach ensures that there is no requirement for a specific handheld device.
Slick navigation
The system can be searched by property, occupancy, applicant, tenant or household member and new advanced searches return results in a hierarchical, structured fashion for easy interpretation and export. Furthermore, enhanced dynamic integration and linking allow users to recall all repairs and occupancy history for any unit in a single click.
Great reporting
The extensive flexibility associated with all enquiries is mirrored in the most up-to-date and dynamic reporting throughout. Effective management and board reports are quick to generate where you define the format to produce exactly what you need for your organisation.
Getting organised
Kypera have introduced a new Document Access System on Units, Occupancies, Repairs Orders, Waiting List Applications and People so you can store all associated files in one location which can be accessed, edited and saved directly from the record. Each entity can have its own unique path mapped to any folder on your PC or network for efficient organisation.
Suits your needs and budgets
Kypera Housing is extremely flexible through its modular set up. Kypera’s senior housing consultant, Richard McCormack says “Each organisation chooses the modules required to suit their needs and budgets and additional modules can be switched on at any time. Within each module there is a wide range of configuration options allowing precise tailoring to the way each business works”.
Automated waiting lists
Kypera Housing Waiting Lists contains significant enhancements to make managing applications and points systems, matching applicants to units, offer processing and updating quick and easy operations. Multiple waiting lists (for example for different stock types) and automated matching show which properties are suitable for each applicant right down to the individual property characteristics - especially useful for adaptations.
Easy rent accounting
Your organisation’s arrears policy is embedded in the system and workflow along with standard letters for every stage of the escalation policy. Letters can be reviewed and edited prior to printing and are then saved back to the record for future retrieval. Common tasks including occupancy changes, period end, charging rent, void management and rent increases are wizard-driven, guiding the user through the steps to ensure that nothing is overlooked.
Efficient repairs and maintenance processing
Repairs can be raised at any level of the stock hierarchy using an input wizard which also prompts the user for a contractor based on area and trade. Streamlined integration means only one-click to drill through to the repairs history which coupled with a link to each user’s workflow means users spend less time getting to where they need to be.
Steve Connelly, Head of Information Systems at Hestia Housing and Support comments: “The management team are very impressed by the Kypera Housing product. We were looking for a product which is both future-proof and functionally rich – this has led us to Kypera”.
