A second West London Credit Union has recorded exceptional growth and terrific returns on investment for their members.
Plane Saver Credit Union, that serves the staff of British Airways, Has seen a massive increase in savings from members that cannot wait to get away from banks. Over the last year savings have increased by a whopping £6,000,000 with an extra £1,400,000 going out on loan.
At the recent Annual General Meeting members were delighted to hear that Plane Saver Credit Union would continue to pay 6% on its cash ISA Account and also on their Platinum Account.
In his report the Treasurer pledged to look for alternative lending products to ensure income remained strong but also apologised for the fact that they could no longer take large transfers of cash. He also highlighted the derisory returns that their significant deposits of cash were earning. There was also a warning that dividends may have to be shaved next year if trading conditions did not improve.
Plane Saver Credit Union was established in 1993 and and recently celebrated its 16th birthday and is now one of the largest five credit unions in the UK.
