It is now faster and easier to access planning applications submitted to South Bedfordshire District Council on the District Council’s Planning Service website at http://www.southbeds.gov.uk/lgcl-environment/planning/
A simple to use search facility now means anyone wanting to view submitted planning and tree work applications can do so.
Residents will also be able to view appeals, search and monitor processes, submit comments online and even report any alleged breaches of planning.
The new-look site will also save time and money as users can access a massive amount of information to find out exactly what they will need to get permission for, before they start building work and also find out permitted development rights already in place and if there are protection orders on property or trees.
All planning application forms can be downloaded and a simple calculator will help anyone submitting plans to work out the correct fee they will need to pay as well as guidance and advice on how to fill in the application.
Full planning committee details are available along with the local Statement of Community Involvement, details of the emerging Local Development Framework, the adopted local plan, minerals and waste local plan, Bedfordshire Structure Plan and the East of England Plan.
The website also includes links to other services provided by South Bedfordshire District Council and other related external departments which may help identify contaminated land or flood risks.
