HOMESTART KIDS SET TO HAVE A BALL AT THE BEACH THANKS TO ALLPAY

Local company allpay has dug into its charity pot to support a fun day out for local families who receive support from Home-Start.

Home-Start Herefordshire will be hitting the beach at Barry in the very near future and will be taking seaside essentials provided by the Whitestone company - buckets, spades and beach balls!

“Some of the children supported by Home-Start have never been to a beach before. The charity really tugged at our heart strings so we were more than happy to provide some funding for the day out. We’ll also be offering our support with the print and design of a new leaflet for them as well,” said allpay Charity Secretary Jacqui Merrell.

Forty children of all ages will benefit from the trip. Alison Jones, Volunteer Recruitment Co-ordinator at Home-Start comments:

“Home-Start Herefordshire has been supporting families in the county since 1982. Our volunteers visit families in their own homes, to offer support through friendship, reassurance, practical help and their own experience as parents. These volunteers are incredibly valuable and are able to make a real difference.”

She continued: “The family’s that we support, a few hours a week, are invited to come along to a variety of events and outings throughout the year, and this year is no exception. We’re extremely grateful for with allpay’s kind support.”
