Major Objectives:These will include, as appropriate, those that reflect key corporate priorities, for example,Cultural Diversity, Social Justice, Environmental Quality and Economic Prosperity.
1. To ensure that the schemes within Leicester that have been agreed by the Leicester and Leicestershire HMA Board are delivered effectively and within the City Council's management processes.
2. To act as the senior practitioner for the multi-disciplinary delivery teams organised ad-hoc throughout the Council and its Partner organisations.
3. To establish and manage a Project Board compliant with the Prince 2 environment and report to the Project Director on the progress of the delivery programme.
4.To manage financial resources assigned to the delivery programme within the Council's financial processes.
5.To brief the Leicester and Leicestershire HMA Board and external agencies as required on the progress of the schemes in the delivery programme.
6. To brief Chief Officers and Elected Members on the progress of the delivery programme.
7. To ensure that schemes within the delivery programme are delivered to the right quality and to the requirements of the City Council.
8. To negotiate with external funding bodies on behalf of the City Council.
9.To liaise with the City Council's Partner organisations as required.P.T.O.
Summary of job tasks:

Relevant degree or equivalent level of education in a field related to urban regeneration.Prince 2 Qualification at Foundation levelPrince 2 Qualification at Practitioner levelEvidence of CPD in management
Experience of delivering complex urban regeneration schemes or projectsExperience as a project manager in a Prince 2 environmentExperience of working in a local authority or similar organisation at a senior levelExperience of co-ordinating multi-disciplinary ad-hoc delivery teamsMembership of a relevant professional institution e.g RICS or RTPI
Must be able to recognise discrimination in its many forms and willing to put the Council's Equality Policies into practice.
