Based in Llandudno Junction (nr Conwy) North Wales.

Providing homes and services to over 2,220 households, North Wales Housing is a modern organisation that is dedicated to improving the lives of people in need. Join us as Head of Finance and you will be granted a level of independence that very few other
organisations can offer.

Directly managing two people and taking overall responsibility for a further ten, you will be expected to move your department forward within an ever-changing organisation. The role demands a truly hands-on approach, but as a member of the Performance
Management Group, you will also have a real influence in more far-reaching strategic matters too. Liaising between Business Development in respect of both activities and information flows, you will oversee the financial element of Scheme Appraisals for new development opportunities. From preparing board reports and developing new ways to minimise outstanding rent arrears, to recommending new technologies and market developments, to compiling year-end accounts and three year budget plans, you
should approach every new challenge of this role with the same conviction as the last.

A housing background is not essential, as we can teach you all you need to know about the industry. You do not necessarily need to be qualified either. We are, however, looking for somebody who is technically capable within the field of accountancy, with solid accountancy experience, possibly gained in an accountancy practice. Comfortable working on various client bases, you should have a proven ability to tackle diverse duties with initiative, confidence and real self-belief. We need an independently minded person, capable of taking the department forward with minimal input from above.
