Housing Occupational Therapy
Your main duties will be to ensure that available adapted properties are allocated effectively to people with a physical disability.
Provide advice on the various housing options for people with a physical disability to achieve independent living.
Assist in the development of procedures and processes to ensure best practice and continuous improvement in the re-housing of people with a physical disability.
To respond to requests for an Occupational Therapist assessment for applicants with disabilities who are in need of suitable housing.
To make recommendations based on assessed need to meet the individual’s long-term housing requirements.
To assess and advise on the provision of equipment and adaptations and recommend property types where suitable adaptations can be achieved.
To ensure that available adapted properties are allocated in accordance with an individual’s needs.
To be considered for this role you will need to possess a diploma and degree in Occupational Therapy, possess proven experience in this field, have a current enhanced CRB and be a car driver.
