Due to an employee departure, and an impending restructure, our respected Borders based client requires a capable Tenancy Support / Independent Living Promotion Manager to supervise the delivery of support to the housing support service.

Experience of local authority homeless assessment would be beneficial, and knowledge of the relevant legislation is essential. It is expected that you will have a minimum of 2 years exposure to managing a team, providing intensive housing support to individuals with complex support needs (mental health, behavioural and or addiction problems).

You will be responsible for:
1) The day to day operation of the Housing Support team,
2) Maintaining a personal challenging workload,
3) Liaising regularly with your manager regarding flow on the caseload (including monthly and quarterly MI),
4) Working alongside homelessness, other third party organisation and the community to improve dialogue on homeless issues

The post would suit anyone who has managed the provision of general tenancy support in either a local authority, homelessness, housing support charity or housing association supported housing unit.

It is expected you will have one of the following; a social work degree, housing diploma, RMA or the relevant HNC or HNS or SVQ in social care, and be able to provide details for an enhanced Disclosure Scotland check which Badenoch & Clark will source on your behalf.

This post is for a minimum of 6 months but could eventually be permanent or run into many months on an hourly paid basis.

Detailed CVs breaking down your experience of tenancy support experience, management ethos are required immediately, along with a covering statement as to your thoughts on working in the Borders at little notice.

Do not get in touch unless your experience and earning power matches the above. Alternatively, call Fraser Turnbull or Arnie Sathiy on 01312253130 for further information and a confidential discussion about this post.

Interview could be as early as week commencing 20th July but may run towards the end of the month.
