Senior Social Work Practitioner - Youth Support

Our client is a progressive East London Local Authority, with a strong Tier 2 framework within its Family Support department. They are currently looking for a Senior Social Worker to join the Youth Support service within Tier 2. You will be one of two practitioners providing social work support advice and challenges at weekly case allocation meetings alongside clinical leads from CAMHS. Alongside individual consultation and joint work with youth support team practitioners and CAMHS, you will also hold a small case load.
multi-agency Youth Support Teams were set up to support young people aged 11-19 and their families requiring additional targeted support. Many of these young people are Not in Education, Employment or Training (NEET) or are at risk of becoming NEET and achieving poor outcomes. The service is made up of 4 locally based, neighbourhood teams Each team has a focus on early intervention and prevention and has adopted a multi-professional approach to achieve integration across the agencies.
This role provides an experienced child care practitioner with the opportunity to step off the front line and work in a holistic and preventative way. To be successful you will need to have a background in front-line children's services and a knowledge of Every Child Matters.
