Building Control Manager

Our London based client is currently looking for a permanent building control manager to directly manage a team of 6. You will be responsible for developing, coaching and performance managing your team when necessary. You will be responsible for fee income of approximately £1 million per annum as well as the the service delivery and operations of the building control department as a whole. You will attend senior management team meetings on behalf of the head of building control as well as external meetings. A large part of your role will also involve marketing new business opportunities so you will need to adopt a proactive approach. Customer care and satisfaction are also of paramount importance to our client so you will be extremely customer focused.

The successful candidate will have:
Strong business acumen with excellent leadership skills
Previous technical knowledge, ideally corporate membership of RICS, ABE, IStructE, ICE, CIOB.
A detailed knowledge of current Building Control roles
Strong performance management experience
Good interpersonal skills at both building internal and external relationships.
Strong passion for building control
