Decant Manager (Investment)

This is a unique and challenging role working for a large reputable Housing Association in Buckinghamshire. As the Interim Decant Manager you will play a vital link between the Trust, residents, the public and the Letting and Void Teams for all matters relating to void and decanted properties.

Daily Duties:

•To manage the Decant Team carrying out 1-1s, regular appraisals and reviews, setting targets and recruitment of new staff.
•To answer questions from board members, councillors and managers on the status of any void or decanted property.
•To manage the non-technical administration of void and decanted properties.
•To ensure accurate records of keys due, received and issued are maintained for each void property.
•To check whether properties are up to the agreed leasing standard by inspecting a sample of properties, and to refer any problems or defects to the Project Manager for action.

Experience required:

•Experience within a housing organisation and dealing with allocations of housing.
•A minimum of two years experience in social housing in a housing management/ front line service.
•Experience of supervising staff with the ability to organise and lead a small team and to integrate the work of that team with that of a wider work group.
•Ability to produce statistical reports which are accurate and easy to understand, including numerical skills.

Due to the significant importance and specific requirements of this role you MUST have experience of working with decanted properties within a social housing environment.
