The Abbeyfield movement is leading the way in housing and care for older people, with more than 8,000 residents nationwide and an unrivalled team of people. You can join them and help us provide support at our supported sheltered house in Kings Lynn where we have the following vacancy:
COOK (Weekends)
£5.73 per hour, working 12 hours every other week on Saturdays and Sundays, 9.00am-3.00pm
You will be responsible for the smooth, effective day-to-day running of the house in the absence of the House Manager. Ideally you will have experience of cooking in a large home or similar, be aware of the needs of older people and have experience of working with them. You will be responsible for preparing and serving a cooked lunch and tea for up to 10 older people, supporting the House Manager in planning menus, keeping the kitchen to a high standard of cleanliness, shopping for the home and managing the budget. Certificates in Food Hygiene and First Aid would be an advantage, although not essential.
