Our client, is one of the UK's leading privately-owned construction, civil engineering, homes and property services contractors providing complete construction solutions to clients in the public and private sectors. With an annual turnover of £251m, they operate throughout the South of England and Midlands building and maintaining the railways, roads, homes, hospitals, schools and offices that we all depend on in our daily lives. They are currently looking to recruit a HSQE/ (Health, Safety, Quality and Environment) Manager to join their Rail Division.
The role of HSQE Manager will be responsible for the management of safety from conception through development, design, construction and handback on various Rail construction projects.
The successful HSQE Manager will have experience in safety management within a civil engineering & building environment, with a solid background as a Safety Manager working within the rail environment on construction work. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH qualification, will have experience in safety management of sites with values ranging from £50k to £2m, and will ideally be a PTS holder. The HSQE Manager will have previous experience of the safety management of multiple subcontractor sites, and will have experience of working with clients and consultants.
The ideal candidate for the position of HSQE Manager will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to brief groups of people on health and safety matters. The successful HSQE Manager will hold a UK driving liscence.
