Project Finance Manager

Our NHS Client based in Basildon is currently recruiting for a Project Finance Manager to work within the Capital Projects team for an interim period of six months. The Capital Works Manager is looking for a finance professional to join the team to work in a project capacity, monitoring up to 120 different schemes and a spend of over £20 million.
Candidates will be expected to:
-Monitor the budgets of up to 120 schemes
-Liaise with the project managers to extract relevant information for reporting purposes
-Manage the flow of financial information using spreadsheets
-Report and communicate information to non finance staff and managers in a clear and informative way
-Provide advice on procurement matters
Candidates wishing to apply must be available for an immediate start and although do not need to be fully qualified, they must possess a strong finance background. Candidates who have previously worked on similar projects will be at an advantage and candidates who have knowledge in public sector/NHS procurement Practices will be shortlisted first.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills as well as the ability to show initiative as this role will involve liaising with different levels of staff and extracting the financial information needed for the monitoring. As well as good communication skills, candidates must have good time management skills as they will be expected to manage their own workload and work to specific time deadlines.
