Our client, a prestigious Professional Membership Body, is currently seeking to employ a dynamic Operations Director. Your role shall be to manage and develop membership subscriptions and growth.
This post would entail full financial oversight of the company, which is likely to have a turnover of £1.5 million this year, made up of membership income and contract work.
The Operations Director will also oversee the internal support functions with direct line management responsibility for the Senior Administration Manager.
Additionally the post holder will be required to devise and implement a proactive membership growth programme seeking to increase the number of eligible training providers in membership.
Ideal candidates will have the following skills:
• Appropriate understanding of financial/accounting processes
• Experience of management accounts of a similar sized company
• Able to support the Senior Administration Manager in devising and implementing effective management systems to ensure the smooth running of the company.
• Ideally, experience of a membership organisation.
• Experience of attracting and retaining members and the ability to devise a comprehensive benefits package
• Able to effectively run a small entrepreneurial commercial business
• Knowledge of the government funded training sector, whilst helpful, is not seen to be an essential ingredient of this post
The Headquarters for this Organisation are located in Bristol. They offer flexible working conditions which would allow working from home with occasional site visits.
