Our Client, a long established children's charity in West Sussex, are recruiting for an experienced Volunteer Co-ordinator. The post is a short term contract and is well paid.
This post is of vital importance to the organisation as they rely on unpaid staff to do the majority of their hands on work with young people, this will involve sporting activities and trips away both nationally and internationally. The successful applicant will be expected to recruit and manage the volunteers, with particular emphasis on gaining commitment for two years, therefore ensuring the money spent on training is a wise investment. Another hugely important role within the post is to ensure all volunteers have up-to-date CRB disclosures, clearing them to work with young people. Also important is contributing to the strategy of the volunteer department, cementing a continual supply of recruits for the foreseeable future.
Applicants to this post are expected to have prior experience of the recruitment and management of volunteers. Equally important is the ability to undertake analysis and compile reports of the existing operation to the Chief Executive of the organisation, as a result, applicants must be computer literate and able to maintain high levels of professionalism at all times.
