Qualified YOT officer
NEW SEARCH
Our client, a Local Authority based in South East England, is recruiting for a Qualified YOT Officer. This is a long standing, interim role and is well paid.
This position is key within the Youth Offending Service and provides a great deal of the rehabilitation contact young people get whilst serving their orders. The successful applicant will have to use methods such as encouraging reparation to victims and reinforcing the responsibility of parents whilst enforcing sentences. Other more generic duties will include strong caseload management and recording all contact on ASSET. The position will involve spending time accompanying young people through the Courts Process and writing Pre-Sentence Reports.
Due to the in-depth nature and responsibility the position covers applicants must be highly experienced and skilled in working with young offenders. A social work qualification and GSCC registration is highly desirable as is experience of and the ability to write Pre-Sentence Reports. If you don't have the Social Work qualification, a JNC recognised qualification combined with strong experience will suffice. If you would like to be considered for this demanding yet highly rewarding vacancy please send your CV without delay.
