Mobility & Rehabilitation Officer for the Visually Impaired

Swim are looking for a part time Rehabilitation Officer for the Visual Impairment Team based in Staffordshire.


The Rehabilitation Officer will have responsibility for the assessment of people with a disability, including a hearing impairment or multiple sensory disability and provide the appropriate recommendations in order to assist in the Directorate's statutory obligations under current legislation.

This may include advice, provision of equipment, adaptations to the home and/or referral to other agencies. The Rehabilitation Officer will be responsible for the management of a caseload which may include the more vulnerable service users or those with complex needs.

To apply for this post you need to have Experience of working with people with a Visual impairment and ideally a recognised Diploma or Certificate in Rehabilitation or Mobility in Visual Impairment. You must also have British Sign Language (BSL) Stage 1 or be prepared to undertake this qualification.
