A rare opportunity to join the NHS as a part-time Finance Director has arisen within an East London Trust.

Working as an advisor to a department undergoing major restructuring, the Finance Director is needed for a short-term contract to give unbiased and informed advice on all areas of financial strategy.

As well as directing members of staff within the department, this challenging but rewarding post will also involve ad-hoc project work as financial advice and input is required on a variety of projects.

Desirable qualities in candidates for the post of Financial Director would include:

-Ability to quickly grasp the organisational structure and culture of the newly-structured department.
-A background of project-based or problem solving experience within public sector organisations
-Sound line management skills and experience of coaching staff through periods of structural change

This post is open to candidates without NHS experience although it would be considered an advantage.
