SWIM Recruitment is seeking a Homeless Prevention Officer to begin in Bury on a 6 months full time contract. Job spec Below!
Job Overview (short paragraph):
• Provide a high quality homelessness prevention and housing advice and assistance service.
• Prevent homelessness whenever possible.
• Ensure that the Authority's statutory duties as defined in Housing legislation are implemented.
Candidate Profile Incl:
Essential Qualifications/Skills, (CRB/registration with specific bodies) etc
• Previous experience of working in homelessness
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Excellent team working skills
• Excellent negotiating skills
• Excellent time, self and management skills
• Ability to use own initiative and work unsupervised
• To be able to display competency in customer care and customer focus
• An understanding of the importance of partnership working
• Interviewing experience/skills
• Commitment to Equal Opportunities, Health and Safety and Customer Care.
Other special requirements: (e.g. PPE, driving licence)
• Full driving licence
• Use of a car
In addition, the successful candidate will need to provide evidence of a CRB successfully completed within the last 12 months.
